BBCentral has spent a *long* time last night helping me out by adding a new thing to NiH, something that I've been interested in for months now. So, my Christmas/Seasonal gift to NiH is...

A Birthday Announcement mod!

When it is a member's birthday, it will be announced at the bottom of the forum!

So, how do you add your birthday? Go to your profile, there is a new thing there, fill it out, and when the time comes, your birthday will be announced. Birthyears are optional.

Merry Christmas!

And then I can nose into your profile and work out your zodiac sign!

I tell you something, Aimless is the most unlikely Capricorn EVER. O_o

And why's that?

I'm a pretty good fir-tree though :)

EDIT: I was born a month early :P

Maybe that's it. You'd be an Aquarius then, and I can totally see you as an Aquarius. You have the whole friendly, original, slightly eccentric thing going on. Capricorns are a bit steadfast and pessimistic, and they're famous for being miserly. Of course, maybe you're a closet miser. A closet grump, even.

There's always mroe to people than meets the eye :)

Out of curiosity, I decided to check out these profiles, and found this in a page about capricorns:

The swings in mood are not the only reason some Capricornians deserve the adjective based on their name - capricious. They can be surprisingly and suddenly witty and subtle for the quiet, reserved individuals they seem to be, and they also have a tendency to ruin things by unexpected and utterly irresponsible bouts of flippancy. In certain individuals in whom the characteristic is strong, the temptation to do this has to be resisted with iron self-control. Another unexpected quality in some Capricornians is an interest in the occult which persists in spite of their naturally skeptical turn of mind.

Which is pretty spooky :o

Maybe I'm a mix of the two :P

I've always found daily horoscopes to be a pretty neat way of finding new things to think about your day :o

That's a good point. I know some Capricorns in which that trait (witticism and flippancy) is very strong.

Still, I always believed that your starsign is decided when you're conceived, so it's nine months after your conception. You know, as far as I do believe in this bollocks. :D

I really like the feature about music and films!

I know, that is AWESOME. *grin* Even if the number one on my birthday was a sucky Beatles cover.

I used to know a guy who, if you gave him your birthday or any other date, could tell you exactly what was number one on that date. As far back as the chart went. It was INCREDIBLE. He was mildly retarded I think, but he was hot shit on the music charts.

I'm sure Tagore was no. 1 on my birthday :o

Like...there must be differences in atmospheric conditions according to the planetary arrangements around the time of our foetal development and birth which may influence certain personality traits? I was going to say seasonal weather patterns, but then it wouldn't really hold true for different parts of the world.

I'm a textbook Piscean...with a streak of stubborness that I somehow never find in descriptions of how I ought to be. I'm not as spacey as I'm supposed to be...well, I mean, I can be, but I'm getting better...

I HATE my sign. I'm nothing like that at all. In fact, my friend who's interested in astrology and knows a lot about it once said I'm much more like a Cancer than I am like a Capricorn. I dunno though.

I'm a Leo, which makes no sense at all. The dominant trait of a Leo is supposed to be extroverted-ness or something, which I most definitely DON'T have. In fact, I scored 100% introvert on that Meyers-Briggs thing. I am ambitious and competitive like a Leo, though, but I mostly keep that more to myself.

I wish I was a Cancer, though. It seems to fit me much better than my actual sign does. (I was born very, very close to the cut-off.)

I'm a Leo too, so we must be only a month apart at most!
The Leo thing, half of it fits me to a t, but the other half is nothing like me. I don't really know what I should be.

It looks like we're a little less than two weeks apart.

Whoa, freaky. Same year, too...

There's a statue of lady justice in the US Department of Justice, and John Ashcroft (the former US Attorney General) ordered her exposed breast covered during his tenure. http://w0rdie.com/upload/files/2/Smileys/headshake.gif

Justice is blind, fair and seductive, but if you make her mad, she'll disembowl you with her sword and ninja blindfighting abilities.

Gosh! That's me :) I'm an introverted Leo too. I was supposed to be born in September, so maybe I've got Virgo characteristics.

Taken from Encarta encyclopedia:

"Astrologers believe that Sagittarians have fun-loving, friendly, philosophical, intellectual, straightforward, and expansive natures. Sagittarians are optimistic, and sometimes have a naive belief that everything will turn out fine despite any obstacles. Good luck often follows typical Sagittarians, and because whatever they need usually comes effortlessly to them, they tend to be generous and willing to share. Sagittarians also value frankness and honesty, and their comments can sometimes be blunt."

Oh yeah. 8)

(I'm a Sagittarius, obviously.)
