Yeah, we have Project Wonderful ads now. I invite anyone who thinks that their ads will be appropriate for us, to bid.
And, unlike Google Ads- people can feel free to click as often as they like- explore! It's pay per day not pay per click.

I hope so too! :D

Woah!
Aparently we have 31 unique hits from Guam. And 3 from Mexico!
Is there something MBliss hasn't been telling us..?
Tundra

They're not unique hits in that section. The top graph, if you hover over the orange line, says we've had 96 unique views- that one is accurate. The graphs down the bottom with top regions, that one is just page views. :)

Still... we have members in Mexico?

Ok, current ad I am seeing is about living with a new series of Lust or something and it relates to dolls and miniatures. Not what I would normally associate with each but yeah. :)
Anyways from what I have seen so far they are pretty unobtrusive so I have no problem with them, easy to ignore if needed but easily accessible too.

Personally, I can think of plenty of ways in which lust can be in some way related to dolls and/or miniatures. The ads are also much prettier - a definite plus.

Gholam- it's two ads. One was a fashion blog and it was called something to do with Lust. The other was my dollhouse miniatures. :P

So they are your lusty miniatures then Tundra!
Gene! Mind out of the gutter! :0

^ *whines like a kid* But Gholam, it's fun thinking sick. *keeps hitting refresh looking for ad mentioned*
Tundra, I think that when you talk about NiH, that you should give a maximum age of members (could have 40+ or something like that depending on the max age) so people who are above 25 won't think 'it's all young whippersnappers' and know that there will be other members their age.

Well yes but they do also have to know what to target us with ad wise. And the honest fact is most of us are under thirty.

I don't see the ads <_<
Tundra

Do you have adblocker?

Probably lots of people have adblocker. But you can allow it for certain sites, if you choose.

I might be putting ads down the bottom of NiH soon, instead of the Amazon ones as they're totally not working right now.

Be advised, apocolypsegirls.co.uk is apparently adult content. I tried clicking on it at work and got a big nasty warning for trying to visit an adult site. :(

I'm sorry. I HAVE got the settings set to no nsfw sites, and that one IS tagged as nsfw. I've emailed PW to ask them why that happened.

Cool, thank you. :? I'm certainly not blaming you; I know errors out of your control happen sometimes.

Huh... it looks like a lot of small forums and webcomics are advertised on it. For example, outdoorhobbies.co.cc has just 73 members and barely over 1000 total posts. So I can't imagine they'd be paying much for adspace with PW....
Is it possible to get nih advertised on it? Or are we already?
Tundra
October 15th, 2008, 09:48 AM
That's why I was asking for banners before. I advertise on it, using some of the old banners that I'm not sure if they're that appealing or not in a clicking sense but they're not horrendous, but I have no budget so I only can put up free ads. Which means the ads are only on tiny sites.
(though, outdoorhobbies was one of the ones that got us up to 40 cents a few times).
Part of the point of Project Wonderful is that smaller sites *can* afford to advertise on sites that aren't hugely expensive- and NiH is not hugely expensive. Because we don't have enough clicks or views compared to say... Questionable Content webcomic. :P Which has tiny button ads that are $6 a day each.

What specs do you need on that banner?

I still think you should use that one I came up way back in the day, with that included 'saucy mennonite choirgirls'
<pours one out for jen and elski>
Gotta see if I can find that banner. I may have it around somewhere.

I don't have that one anymore. :(
And since they're not here anymore either it would feel a little weird...

But feel free to make other ones that are slightly injokey!

I've gotten rid of the Amazon ads at the bottom of every page, and replaced it with small PW ads.
