I posted about this in the 'What Kills Your Creativity' thread in the writing forum, but I thought it would go good here, too.
Temptation Blocker is a program where you input programs that you want to temporarily lock (meaning you can't open them), and then you set the amount of time you want to not be able to access them. I used it back in 2005 for my first NaNoWriMo, and it helped me get a lot done. You can also gain access to the locked programs before the time is up, but you have to put in a randomly generated string of numbers and letters, somewhere around 36 I think, so it discourages cheating :P
