I was importing some music from CD's onto my computer. All of a sudden, I put in a CD and my computer stops recognizing it as an audio cd and I can't even play music from any CD now.
Help, please?

Does it recognize data CDs?

Yes, it recognizes data cd's.
What happened, exactly, was I was importing a CD. Then it wouldn't import one song because the cd is scratched but it continued to burn the rest. Then I put in another CD and instead of showing the tracks with title names and the minutes, it seemed to recognized it as a data cd. And every CD I put in afterward was recognized the same.
I'm on my mom's computer now. Later on I'll put hook up my computer and let you know what the pop up window says when I try to play something.
I just remember it said something about not reading it as digital and would I like to retry it as digital or if I wanted to try it in analog.
I have 4 different players and none of them would play them.

This is what it looks like when I try to play an audio CD.

If I go straight to a player and open the CD that way, no window pops up. But where it usually shows the tracks and how long they are, there are either more or less tracks than there should be and what usually shows track length is either way too long or way too short for the actual track lengths. And yeah, none of them will play. The computer goes through each track and shows an error with the exclamation point.
Troubleshooting doesn't have any answers.

Weird.
I'd say your next move is to reload the drivers. You should be able to open the case and get the manufacturer and model number of the drive, go to their website, and download & install the most recent drivers for that drive.
:edit: on second thought, first let's just try uninstalling and reinstalling the device. Start > control panel > Add/remove hardware > uninstall/unplug a device > uninstall. Then reinstall through the same menu tree. It'll pick the closest driver and that may be enough.

After trying to figure it out on my own, the first thing I did was uninstall and reinstall.
Nada. Still not working.
