I'm an admin on graphicalmishaps.com, and I'd be honored if some of you would join, or at least check out the site! :) We're a relatively new site, and still relatively small. Everyone (except for Avien, watch out for her  just kidding  ) is extremely nice, and quite a bit silly. The public forums are for sharing art, writing, getting critique, researching topics, teaching/taking classes, discussing philosophy, and adding to our library (a collection of articles, downloads, research resources, etc. on the main page)! As members rise in rank (by contributing to the site through writing articles, teaching classes, getting recommendations, etc). they gain access to smaller, private forums. It's a great way to meet and get to know new people!

Also, if you have IRC, log onto the sorcerynet server and pop in #artandwriting (our ever so off topic chatroom ;)) and say hello!

morgana, hi there. listen i was just chcking out your forum for resaerch purposes. i am rsearching internet network externalities. and a few facts in the rules made me curious. I mean no ofence when I aks these question, I am not personally offended in anyway, just as a curious philsophier I wish to enquire to this possible dilemmas in ethics

three post a week minumum. This might cause difficulties.

also, on your username policy. now as an economists i haev no research problem there. my ethics seem philsophicallly.

umm, you say no cross gender usernames. how does your site acknowledge the lifestyle choices. such as those of homosexual, bisexual or transgender orientation?

also, you ranking system. . While personal I like some structure to cling to, you want a society where all can be equal and no oppressors. But then poltics is made with those in power. And it is subjective in nature.

one, major final thing.

do you think, you might hurt the admin, tundra by advertising your competive service here? Especially when you advertise a very similar forum after only a few posts. You hae a rule against this on yrours.

normally as a quaker of sorts, i do not speak up on inequities of these world. however i felt i just query this, as it intrugues me about this last point espically. as your rules actually prohibits this. ironic?

sorry, but just curious

Not a rule that's always enforced, it's meant to keep people relatively active. Three posts a week isn't a terrible amount to ask, in my opinion.

Yep! We're actually in the process of changing this. We've been working on a new set of rules for waay too long now, at any rate, that rule will be removed in the new one. :) The requirement will change to a new one asking that if members cross avatars/usernames they do not lie about their gender and make sure the admins know the true one. (--meaning, we don't want 60 year old men pretending to be 14 year old girls).

It's for fun, and to give people something to work for, plus it makes it easier for me to organize things. :)

My site asks that people not join for the sole purpose of advertising the site. Members are allowed to post a link. :) I didn't join this site to advertise. But, I hope I haven't offended anyone. (my site's extremely new and small, just trying to get the word out.) And, seeing as this is a links/recomendations forum, I figured it was an appropriate place to post a link.
