View Full Version : Sims Question - Friendship

I got the Sims Deluxe a week ago, and have moved my Sim in, and decorated her house, and moved in the other families simply so Catherine can make more friends.
Hopefully the advice can be used on this as well as The Sims and The Sims 2.
There is another Sim interested in me, Bella Goth, and I recalled some information someone gave me here on a Sim thread, about having two sims and making friends.
If I got Bella to move in with Catherine, and they married, (how do you get that done?), would Bella be able to make friends and they would be Catherine's too? Or would I have to introduce the Sims seperately to the girls and both girls must work on the friendships?

Um, Cat, cos this is a game question, doesn't it belong in the "Books, Movies, TV, Music and Games" forum?? :?
To answer your question, in Sims2 you have to have them both work separately on friendships - after all, they're individual "people" - they would make different friends.
Hope that helps. :)

However, they would count as 'family friends', if you just needed them for promotion, I think. Or is that just Sims 2?

I didn't really know where to put it, Wilwarin, and it was a question. I'll remember that.
I just need them for promotion. With the times I work though on the job I don't think the other Sims would be too happy if I woke them up :D

If you just need them for family friends for promotion, then Bella's friends will count as Catherine's friends too. :) This is why having a couple with one working and one socialising is a good idea.
Also, if two Sims have known each other long enough and love each other enough, etc, etc, you'll get the Propose option in the radial menu, along with all the other options like Hug and Dance and stuff. However: all Bella needs to do is move in with Catherine to be counted as part of Catherine's family. (Which also comes up as an option in the radial menu if they like each other enough.) They don't need to be married, just living together. ^__^
Does that help, Cat? :D

That does help, thank you Vindie.
So, if Catherine went to work, and Bella stayed home and made lots of friends, would this mean that Catherine would get enough friends for a promotion, or does she need to do all this socialising as well as working?

Nope; one can socialize and the other can work. I actually had like, 8 sims in 1 house at one point, and all of them were at the top of the career ladder apart from 1 who just stayed home and sat in the love tub with the neighbours making like, 50 friends.
