Forum Not Working?

Okay, I realised that there is a problem with the forums sometimes not working. I didn't realise it was so widespread. I know it doesn't work for me sometimes, but I assumed that that was just my dodgy computer.

I've been mentioning it to Chris a few times, and he thought that there were just a few of us, so he assumed it was our own computers, which does happen sometimes. But he's now checking it out.
So, if the forum doesn't work for you: How often does this happen? What does the error message look like? How long does it last for?

He thinks it might have to do with proxy servers.

I'll just say I have never had a problem accessing the forum at its current location. The only time it stuffed up was when my internet connection decided to just die on us for about 4hrs so that was my end that was at fault.

The forum is always down for me from (approx) 10:00am EST (GMT - 5) until around 10:00pm. During that time I get error 500: Internal Server Error. I can *see* the forum using the alternate link you provided, but I can't log in or it'll give me that same Error 500 message. Also, using that link but not logging in, I can only read the "General" and "Official Business" sections. Attempting to go into any of the forums in the "Creativity" section gives me (you guessed it) Error 500.

These problems are pretty much identical from both my work and home machines. The work connection is a T1 going through the local phone company. The home connection is a cable modem. I've tried using different browsers.

Of the five forums I visit every day, this is the only one that's giving me any problems.

Wow. :shock: That's much worse than it ever is for me! I have the entire page stuffing up, but only for a few hours, not the whole day! And you still come back!

It has never been down for me. Well, occasionally it doesn't work on the school computers, but I think that's just because they're school computers.

Just to let you know... I've had 24-hr access for the last two days!!! 8) :knocksonwood:

And I've been able to consistently access it from the school computers since I posted that I occasionally couldn't so it seems to be all better.

Okay, that's excellent then! If there are any problems in the future, please make a post, describing the error. :)
