I've noticed, over the last couple of days, that on my work PC the forums will show the checkmark-meaning-there-are-new-posts only after I've posted to them...not when there are new posts.

You might say this is because I shouldn't be NiHing at work, but I'm curious to know if anyone else has seen this phenomenon.

Is this happening while you are on the board for an extended time or initially after you have visited it?

What can happen is that there are new posts but if you spend a number of minutes waiting for a response in one of the sub-forums it will automatically mark the rest as read because you are seen as idling.

However if it doesn't show up as a new post when you keep refreshing the window until you post then I am flummoxed.
