Mercenary bordello

Is there any reason why a successful mercenary company shouldn't have a bordello or two of their own, in the "home" city?

Do ya mean a favorite bordello or one specifically set up for their group? Depending on the setting the former could happen but the latter seems an odd thing for a mercenary group to spend time and resources organizing.

The size of the group is a factor as well. If there's a dozen or less it's probably up to them to *ahem* take care of things on an individual basis as they see fit. Mercenaries don't usually have official facilities set up unless they get pretty big, like the size of a small militia. Though the likelyhood of them setting up that kind of 'facility' is still unlikely.

It could be used as a business sideline, or as a front for other types of business (eg someone ostensibly going there for one reason but is actually going there to sell arms or whatever).

Unless they are pimps and/or businessmen on the side or have delusions of being "big." There might be three people who get enough money to buy a place just for themselves.

i think a brothel is a very logical diverisfication step for a mecinary group.

let face it, soilder like sex. and for the matter. most people enjoy sex.

now not nly is it a business side line, but there are economies of scale to be gained. as they will have the ablity to guard there investment at a lower cost. and also there is a very high correlation with the cost of sex and the cost of drugs (I forget the reference) and so they would have advantages as many mecianries will be in and out of columbia and other drug haven so there hookies can be paid in drugs and thus they can have lower wage costs and be able to either enjoy higher economic rents or charge lower price, have a great market and so forth.

not to mention, soilder sexual habit are a lot more demanding than most. and it good moral for solider to have girl who show them some affection as well as sex (based on the french brothel theory espicaly that tuesday is free ventrans day). and besides it also be a way ensure your tropes don't get an STD.

how do i know so much you may ask, well i had to write my best friend a paper on prositution for her course in sexuality, so i wrote a lot of it on an economical basis. the economics of love and sex is soemthing i tinker with to little great success.

brothel are profitable enterprises so it would be logic to have one and a stock portfolio.

i don't know the income price elascity of sex and military forces. so i cna't say it good on diverstifaction grounds.

well, that should be enough for a few logical arguements. and don't forget, if you a rich, tough as nails. guy who has no cares in the world but cash and agood time. would you buy a place where you can get liquor up and have a good time.
