View Full Version : Abusive PMs

I just got a rather vulgar and abusive pm. Written in French. It was a nonposting member, who is now banned. I'd just like to say that if any of you get any pms like this from a member, (now, or later, written in french, or English or any language) PLEASE tell me.

I have no clue. I'd sent him/her a welcome pm about a month ago. She/he comes on this morning, and sends me a pm in return, with abuse. fun. Uh, it was just a string of insults. But in french, so i had to go and babelfish it.
edit: here you go, you can babelfish it yourself.
Nom de dieu de putain de bordel de merde de saloperie de connard d'enculé de ta mère.
And if the person reads this post, note: I am not impressed.

Ohh, from my basic understanding of french I can tell that aint gonna be complimentary...
Strange people getting kicks from sending rude messages...

All the French I know is thanks to the public school system and the other side of food packages. I can read ingredients and cooking instructions in French, no problem. But even my hackneyed language skills know that something was said along the lines of "ur mom!" which can't be positive.
ETA: One visit to babelfish later...
Huh. We may take comfort in that their grammer sucks and they need to stop saying "of."

*laugh* I think we can blame that on Babelfish, actually. I love translator programs. They make everything funny.
Dunno what was up that French person's butt, though. Seems pretty random.

pergaps it best if i don't use babelfish, i know anough of my french to understand that pretty darn well.
i see no logic in our attack of mistress tundra. and if i had my chance, i sling a few choice french words back.
real babel fish would be useful.

Maybe an English-speaking person wrote it in French because they realised how stupid it would sound if anyone actually understood it.

Believe it or not, my sister uses Babelfish for her Spanish homework. I tried for weeks (in vain) to convince her that it's not really the most reliable academic resource, but she's still passing the class so maybe it's not all bad...

I use it all the time for my french and german, 'cos I haven't got a clue how to say what I want, and it helps... Or not, but its widely acknowledged my skills in writing in other languages are very poor. :?

I used babelfish in highschool, but not for translating what I wanted to say, but translating texts, so that i could have a basic idea on what they were about. It's horrible for proper translations.
Anyway, I think this french person is really french.
He emailed me in French too, asking why he'd been banned.

Too bad it can't work for me. I'm taking Japanese and it usually doesn't even try to translate. I typed in some simple Japanese (2 words in English, 3 in Jap), that I knew the translation for, and it comes back unchanged

Sorry for the thread necromancy. I just happened to open this thread, after a long forum-browsing epopee, and I wanted to point out that this line is actually a quote from Matrix : Reloaded. ^^
Merovingian: I love French wine, like I love the French language. I have sampled every language, French is my favourite - fantastic language, especially to curse with. Nom de Dieu de putain de bordel de merde de saloperie de connard d'enculé de ta mère! You see, it's like wiping your ass with silk, I love it.
So, this insult doesn't make more sense now. But, yeah, I thought I'd say it.

Cadbury's always makes me want to drink gallons of ice-cold milk. Too stickysweet, it makes my throat burn a bit. I prefer dark chocolate (especially with dried cranberries), but I don't get that often. It's a hard life...! :)

Cadbury chocolate, in my opinion, is best enjoyed in small quantities. I find it really sugars me up if I have too much in one go. I prefer chocolate bars with wafers in them, to kinda break it up a bit. My favourite is Time Out (if I could find it, I'd show you a pic of my door at college when I covered it completely with Time Out wrappers. It was very easy to find my room). I also LOVE Freddos and Caramello Koalas. *drool* Someone wanna send me some?
