Dramatic pause...I have a web site. It's all shiny and cool and not hosted on some crappy free site. Why? Because it's hosted by me. I finally got my own server set up (since this is just a personal web site and it's not like I'll be getting huge traffic or anything.) It does have a crappy free DNS, but I think that http://damnedscholar.strangled.net (http://damnedscholar.strangled.net/) has a nice ring to it. I might actually change the name in the near future, if I think of a better one, and if I do I'll update this thread accordingly.

Anyway, I finally decided I really wanted a functional web site. Also, I hate Freewebs. So I worked for a while on tweaking a layout I found on the Internet, added some content, stuck it on my server and got a little slice of a free domain name and there you go. It's not complete, but it's functional. Don't mind the holes. I'll update this thread when it's fully done.

I made a website for school a couple of years ago, about white lions and white tigers, with conservation people, and links, and stuff like that, then somehow lost half of it! Should do it again.

They're all big pics. Well, not all of them, but sxc.hu is where all of the amateur photographers with really high-resolution digital cameras post their stuff. It's a great resource.
