I need to know what Israel is like. What they eat, what their living conditions are like...Just about everyting :D And also where a fugitive could possibly hide there.

What is it with this forum and topics I know much about tonight?First Biblical names, now Israel...
First off:Israel is hot.HOThot. It doesn't really snow in the winter apart from maybe two inches, max. The summers are ridiculously warm.
Second:Water. The water supply in Israel is PUNY. They've got, what, the Kinneret and the Jordan for freshwater? That and the Red Sea and the ocean for salt water. So the water supply is regulated.
third:The people.Everyone's really friendly, very few people are actually scared of terrorists. VERY few.
The fashion there(for women,I dunno mens') right now is for..well, anything gaudy and colourful.Everyone's a peacock.Girls wear...lotta jean skirts, with bits of embroidery or sewn-on patches.Tops are flouncy, layered, stripy, anything goes.Flashy socks are good, too.Almost everyone you meet in Israel is Jewish, so the skirts will be long and tops will be long-sleeved.People like t-shirts with slogans.Especially Coca-Cola and the IDF.Jewelry...lots of chamsas(this is a chamsa (http://www.judaica-mall.com/products/hamsa-60011m.jpg)).Beads ahoy.Flashy things. But the older ladies will be all like WE ARE MODEST RARR >|O and wear darker, less gaudy things.
the food there....It depends who you eat with. There are people from ALL OVER. There are McDonalds and Burger Kings, but also places where you can get Lebanese, Iranian, all sorts of food. They've got everything and anything.
Where could a fugitive hide....?No idea.Possibly with a friend or relation(or a relative of a friend's.). At the Kotel(western wall), there are people who go around asking if people have somewhere to eat and stay for the sabbath. So on the weekends they'd get free room and board. They could hide in the crowds at the Kotel-there are people praying there round the clock.I'm serious.Even at like two in the morning,so they could mingle there.
The atmosphere is relaxed...People know EVERYBODY else.Hitchhiking is the way to go!
There might be some tenseness at the mo' because of the situation in the Gaza Strip. The minority of EXTREMELY vocal settlers and people who don't want the disengagement to continue, and the big majority of people who agree with the disengagement.
I've never actually been to Israel,so don't take my words as gospel truth. But everyone in my family except for me(I might go this summer!) has been there and they tell stories. And I have family in Israel. Also, a lot of my teachers are from Israel, and very cleary Israeli in how they dress and talk and act and such.
Also, EVERYBODY in the 15 to like 40 age bracket listens to Maya Bouskila. She's a singer, immensely popular.(And my family is apparently distantly related to her.)
