What can you do with newspapers? Be creative! Sillypants and I have a character who ripped up a LOT of newspapers and acquired a bunch of unripped up ones, to make papier mache, decided it was too messy and started making stuff with matches instead, and then the two characters got concerned about the waste of paper/trees/art supply. What can they do with the papers?

other than that. which is what she was going to do with it anyway. :) I don't know if they'll actually do it, or if they'll just discuss what to do with it.

Hmm....Shredded newspaper burns well...that's gotta make a worl of possibilities!

can you think of ways that burning the newspaper could be useful? One girl hates wasting trees (but she was bored and wanted to do something, so started papier mache, and then got distracted lol) the other one hates seeing creative things go to waste.

Maybe you could die it and use it as hair or grass or driping blood or something on other works?

Newspaper can be used as a bedding for horses with respiratory problems, it's pretty dust free but can stain! Small fact there.

Er... Colour it in and throw it in the air, confetti style?

It is very good for starting a fire, as long as you have small twigs and other kindling around, doesn't even have to be shredded, just bunched up so that there is air flow through it. Rolled up newspapers can be used to swat pesky insects or if wrapped in masking tape and you have a flat, smooth surface on hand and a chalk duster you can play duster hockey.

Great ideas guys, but can you think of anything else that can be done with already-ripped-up newspaper?

Ooo, just had an idea myself! Buy a rabbit, so that the paper can be used for bedding for it!
