Question- what are the posting ranks? Like i'm a "Bob" right now. Can I have a list of the post ranks and the number of posts and such? Or does nobody know?

I think only Tundra has the list; they're a bit 'ooh let's see what pops up next!'

We've got some spectacularly weird ones, haa.

Yeah, I think we asked for the list before and were told we just had to wait and see them as they came. :)

Ah, okay. :P Because there are a lot of them. I'm used to being on forums where there are 4 or 5, and now there are a zillion. Hehe, it's fun, though.

it's more fun with a zillion. :P

Darn, I never paid any attention to mine as my post count increased... T_T

You know what? I'm going to start counting!

Tundra

The names. Keep a list of mine from now on.

Don't worry, I won't give it to anyone. It's for my own private use. Scouts honour.

At the moment (6755) you are "fizzynicemakefeelgood."

Which seems eerily fitting.

Probably due to all the hugs I seem to be giving out lately.

Meanwhile, you're "Without My Pants."

^ Hehe! I remember that from "Round The Twist"! Great show.. *memories*

Have you ever (hey oh)
Ever felt like this? (hey hey)
When strange things happen
Are you goin round the twist?

Well I heard the word about the bird and the spider
That wriggled and tickled and jiggled inside her!

:P

... *hopes she is not the only who remembers*

Why do you think I'm running around posting so much? I want to make the scary title go away!

On the other hand, I'm wearing a skirt today. Perhaps that's all the post title means. :P

I remember it, I keep trying to discuss it with my friends (the Australian show where weird stuff happened to people...) to blank faces.

^ My favorite episode was probably the one where they made the Linda clone - but she was Adnil. Hehe.

I think you'll be getting "Tiny Yaoi Swordsman" sometime soon. I miss having that title... ^_^

Einna: Yours is currently Hovercraft Full of Eels, which if I'm not mistaken, comes from the Draco Trillogy, by Cassandra Claire. Or something she took it from, but that's where I know it. :D

Tundra

^ no, no it doesn't.

Ariella

Hovercraft Full of Eels is a Monty Python reference. To the Hungarian Phrasebook sketch, I believe. In it, there's a guy with a phrasebook that makes him say weird things instead of what he means to say. This (http://bau2.uibk.ac.at/sg/python/Scripts/TheHungarianPhrasebookSketch) is a complete transcription.

It's very sad when someone knows awesome things just because of Cassandra Claire ;-;

I think you'll be getting "Tiny Yaoi Swordsman" sometime soon. I miss having that title... ^_^

Looking back, the title sounds so very, very wrong but that's not how it was originally intended at all...! Damn my subconscious.

"My Hovercraft is full of eels..."

hah right... "and now for the entertainment! Tiny Yaoi Swordsmen!"

I thought it was a fun title, and only a little wrong...

Yeah, I feel sort of stupid now. Is Cassandra Claire... not good, or something?

Tundra
November 20th, 2006, 04:38 PM
^ compared to actually seeing the python sketch, I think she meant. And isn't Cassandra Claire that fanfic writer? The one who plagarised?? There was that huge scandal.
I think it's a case of finding it sad that you only know about the phrase from her rather than the original ultra cool thing that she got it from. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KfyISaW9hV8 here's one of the original sketches. They've done the hungarian phrasebook sketch a few times, each slightly different.

Cassie Claire in a plagiarism scandal? I thought people hated her because she's RUBBISH. This is even better.

What, you never read the huge Fandom Wank essay? Lemme find it...

The F_W wiki has a few links to things about it: here~ (http://wiki.fandomwank.com/index.php/Plagiarism_and_All_That)

Oh, dude. Okay, I knew she totally stole quotes and passed them off as her own witticisms, but this totally takes the Victoria sponge...

plagarism, AND accepting presents from fans in payment for writing fanfic...

I don't care if she references tv shows. Because that can just be fun. It's when you get as hugely big as she does, and there was some sort of instance of her claiming they were hers... rather than just a reference to something else. She now claims they're references only and that she never claimed they were hers, etc.
My friends at nano are HUGELY angry at this girl, because she's ruining fanfic for the rest of us, by almost getting it totally banned.
the parody one with LOTR is 'fine' because it's a parody so she can't really get in trouble for that. But then she's making tshirts and stuff to sell. *sigh*
Also there was that whole sockpuppet debacle which made people rethink fandoms.
