So, I have this bunch of people from Vermont, and they'll be taking a road trip, with some sight seeing and brief visits to friends, etc. The road trip is going to be from Vermont to X, Canada. They will stay in X for a few days, and the general trip should take from three weeks to a month.

What would be a good location for X? I was thinking perhaps somewhere in Nova Scotia, but would that be too close or too far? I need a place that would be far away enough to take about be worth of at least a few days of a drive with interruptions, but close enough (to Vermont) so that it would not take anymore than a month to get back. What place would be fitting?

Uhm. It took me, once, with my family, three full days to get from Montreal to Miami--without stopping much--so. If it were place X in Canada, mayhaps one of the Prairie provinces? I think the maritimes are a bit too close to take a month to drive there, even if you do include stopping for a few days at a time.
