In Belfast?
Or Ireland/The British Isles in general?
Can you buy them in corner stores or maybe chip shops?

Also, I ought to have a working draft of this thing by tomorrow sometime--anyone want to have a look over my supposedly Irish slang and Belfastian dialects and make sure I'm not making an ass of myself?

Off-licenses, supermarkets (they usually have a separate bit that does magazines and CDs and DVDs and cigarettes with its own tills) and corner-shops such as Mace or Spar or Centra. I've never seen a chippy selling cigs though. Also, a lot of pubs and bars have cigarette machines.

I'd love to look over your draft, by the way. I'm surprised you didn't PM me or something about it, actually, seeing as I kind of live in Belfast. *grin*

Only a couple of things to add to that list. They have cigarette machines in clubs. Plus in most pubs you can buy some cigarettes over the bar.

Yeah, but there aren't many pubs in Belfast and you don't often find young people in the ones that do exist.

Naw, I want you to help because you're Vindie and you know lots of things and have good ideas and I'm rather provincial and naive.
(Not that I'm saying you have a lot in common with my characters. I mean, they're really messed up and the ending, although it's what I want it to be, kind of sucks IMO.)
