Not quite sure where this thread belongs, so here 'tis: Who knows of any really good places online for stuff on Greek mythology/mythology in general? (ASIDE from Wikipedia, dears, which I know you're all dying to suggest. ) Especially places that have all the stories as accurately told as possible without being warped and such.

Ooh! Ooh! Ooh! Me!

This link, http://chci.wrdsb.on.ca/library/olbc02b/4hwcass101.html, goes to a page with several useful links. It's from my ancient history course, in which we're currently doing a unit on Ancient Greece.

Not sure about websites, but you might try googling Edith Hamilton. She did good work in that field.

There's also the webcomic Sea of Insanity, which is more of a fun and interesting and convolunted way to learn a bit about Grk. mythology.

Unfortunately not online, but we have this HUUGE book at home which is basically a collection of every aspect of mythology from three or four major regions. (greco-roman, nordic, asian)

Oohhhh I like Nordic!
We have a thing in my family for naming cars, and the one I totalled three years ago was named Thor.

Man, I wish my mom would let me buy a gigantic mythology book...I tried to at the bookstore once, but she was all "Do you NEED it, though? Reeeally? Do you REALLLLLY NEEEEEED it??" and the like, the way parents tend to do; and I was guilted out of it. Meh.

I've got a gigantic mythology book, that my parents gave me for christmas! It's the Encyclopaedia of Mythology, and covers Greek, Celtic, and one other that I've forgetting. I've also got a gigantic Ancient Civilizations book, that's equally awesome. (My sister says they look like textbooks, and that I'm crazy for actually reading them straight through.)

Lucky you! Hah, yeah, I read a huge textbooklike book on Broadway musicals cover-to-cover and everyone was like "..." . But hey.

And, okay, on a random note, I saw your current postcount name, "God of Chimpanzees", and, in a state of I-don't-know-what-ness, wasn't thinking and thought it was like a term for a herd of chimpanzees, or a group; like 'gob' or something. Then I did a double take and was like- Oh. "God". Right.

..Just my moment of tired confusion.

Oh, yeah, I am "God of Chimpanzees". Fancy that. I wasn't paying any attention.
