Apparently, those of us with the 'O' Blood type attract more mosquitos. It's pretty interesting.

I've been trying vegemite on toast as a mosquito discouragement - my niece who travels to all sorts of insect infested places swears by it! I 've also read that supplements of vitamin B daily have the same effect. It may be imagination, but I don't think that I've been bitten quite so many times. If you try it, see if you think it is effective too.

I swear by it too! I don't know what type I am, but there's definitely a difference when I eat Vegemite regularly, compared to what I don't have as much B-complex vitamins. I find leaving an open jar on the table (at night!) can do the trick as well, they don't like the smell. (Does a good job of keeping my brother away, too!) :roll:

I'm O+ and I don't get bitten very often, not like my brother. Not sure what blood type he is though.

Huh. Interesting! Will have to eat more vegemite, although I have been lately because I can't eat peanut paste before work. Come to think of it I haven't really been bitten a whole lot lately, unlike usual!!!

I am blood type O and I have no problem with mosquitoes.
My brother, however, is eaten ALIVE by them; he's blood type O as well.
We have one difference though - I LOVE Vegemite and he hates it.
That must be it! It's sort of a relief.
I've been wondering about it since I was a child >.< I felt shunned by the mosquitoes.

Yes, proof indeed! I rang my brother to tell him and pointed out that he could start eating Vegemite as a sort of experiment. He agreed it'd be an interesting experiment but I think he'd rather be eaten alive than eat Vegemite. I'll never understand that man.

I'm O+ but being a smoker, the mozzies dont like the smoke, so I dont get bitten when I'm smoking outside. However, when I'm not smoking, I get eaten alive.
