Question: Does anyone know of any websites that are like IMDB.com but for books or book reviews ...

I wish! But there are some ... I can't remember what it's called. Library.com? My bookshelf .com? argh. I signed up to it, I should know what it's called! Where people put in the books that they own, and there's little synopses, and there's comments that can be made and scores out of 10 or 5.

If you're on facebook, you can install an app called visual bookshelf and log your books that way - if that is of any help.

I was thinking of somethign more like IMDB for its discussions. I like that part of the site as if I have any questions about something in the movie that I didn't get or an insight about it and wanted to know if I was right about it or just discuss the movie in general, I can post a thread and people will either agree of tell me why they think my take on the movie is different than theirs.
I have searched and haven't found anythin similar to that for books - yet. It would be nice to have that knd of resource. Maybe someone will come up with it someday.

I found something close to what I am l oomkign for and thought I would share the link. I am still looking into it but there are book discussion forums set up on the site so it seems close to what I was looking for.

Thanks Tundra :) I will check that one out too. But it will have to wait until I get back from Jamaica. Leaving Friday morning and coming back on the 16th. I don't know what to be more excited about: getting marrie don a beach in Jamaica or leaving the chilly Winnipeg autumn morning at the bus stop.

No discussion forum, but it has helped me save time in deciding whether or not to read certian books.

Congratulations! (For both things. Getting married on the beach, AND getting away from a Winnipeg (almost) winter!) Hope it was great.

http://www.goodreads.com/ is my very favorite for reviews and tracking books you've read or want to read.
